Alii means hello in Palauan which is the language I am learning! No big deal or anything! Ha ha ha
Man I just do not know where to start…. hmmmm ok think I will start by answering all your questions because I know that is all you all really care about! Ha ha
Q and A
What is Palau like?
Palau is amazing. It is seriously so beautiful. It is pretty modern I mean we have email and there are stores and stuff and we drive a car. But there is no fast food on the island frown emoticon…
Most houses are not really houses, just kind of dirty holes made out of whatever people could find like old car seats for couches and stuff like that; it is pretty sad actually.
There are also dogs everywhere just walking around… But you try not to go near them because who knows what diseases they are carrying! Plus my companion got bit by a dog so there is that ha ha.
Our Apartment is also pretty terrifying it is so dirty and is filled with COCKROACHES! It is super gross but we did a deep clean today so I hope that will help! I am just glad we have AC because it is so hot here. But overall Palau is great!
Companion?
So my Trainer is Elder Climer and he is pretty cool, he is super spiritual and has a solid testimony. He is a little serious. But I am not worried, he is living with me so he will learn to laugh! Ha ha He is a great trainer.
People?
The people are the most amazing people you will ever meet. They are just so grateful, humble, easy going, and just all around amazing, I love them so much! (Ugh) I just LOVE THEM!
Branch?
So the ward Branch is really small. We would all probably fit on the first 2 rows of the chapel back home in our church building. We have a good amount of members, it’s just none of them come to church. The branch is really nice though and all the people are amazing. That is a theme in Palau everyone is just amazing!
I also have my first 2 investigators! Their names are Austin and Lyin they are both 11 and they are the cutest! They are both super into the Gospel. We taught them the restoration and they agreed to read the Book of Mormon and to pray about it! We teach them again on Tuesday! Way exciting!
Ok I think that is about it for this week! Man I only have 101 more weeks left! Time is flying! Better make it count!
Hope all is well at home! I love and miss you all!
