Alii everyone!
So this week was good and a lot of cool stuff happened but I will start by answering the many questions.
Are you eating? I am trying my best to. My companion thinks he is fat so he does not eat a lot so we never really stop for like lunch or dinner but I am really trying to eat when I can. Some days I am kind of starving but I have really started to tell my companion that I NEED to eat so we are starting to eat more which is good. So yes I am doing my best to eat!
Weather? The weather is the same every day. HOT HOT HOT and RAINY! It is great though!
How are the members? The members are really nice! Very accepting! There are a lot of members but most of them are not active so we are really focusing on trying to get them all to come to church! They are all super awesome though! Especially this one named Junior! He was baptized about a month ago and he is always coming and teaching with us! He is so cool!
How are the other missionaries? I LOVE THEM. We are all super close and we do pretty much everything together! It is so nice to have them because they are like my family away from home. I love them so much! Especially Elder Bush! We get along great! And I just love the other missionaries too!
Alight I think that about answers all of the questions.
Onto something really cool that just happened. So on Sunday, since I am the new missionary I had to give a talk in sacrament meeting and it went really well, I bore my testimony and kept it pretty simple. But during my talk I had this feeling that someone really needed to hear me speak and was thankful for my talk. It was kind of cool but I did not really think too much about it. But then later that night we received a call from the Sister missionaries and they had taken an investigator to church that day and he heard me speak in sacrament meeting. So apparently he was truly moved by my testimony and really enjoyed it. He had also been set for a baptismal date this Saturday. They said he enjoyed my testimony so much that he would like me to be the one to baptize him this Saturday! Pretty cool right! So this Saturday I will be having my first baptism and it is not even my investigator! I am very excited and so honored, it is going to be great!
Lately, I have thought a lot about shortcomings. I have more shortcomings than I can count, but missions are great for facing those and that is what I have found so cool about where we are assigned to labor. Our missions are perfectly tailored to who we are. God knows us and knows exactly where we need to be so that we can grow. I have only been in Palau for a little over a week and I have already had to face and overcome all of my shortcomings. It has been really hard, but it is making me stronger. I love how heavenly father puts our weaknesses in our face! Because that way we know what they are and we are able to fix them and make them strengths!
Well that should do it for this week! I love you all! Only 100 more weeks to go! And I still have a lot of souls to save!
