Olek olek!

Another week… HERE WE GO!

Alii Everyone I love with all my heart I hope you are all doing amazing!

So this week was such a blessing. As you know this past transfer, Elder Climer and I have really been struggling to find people to teach. This week Elder Climer and I were determined to change that. We were determined to find new souls to teach and we were going to put our full faith in the Lord, and do all we could to make that happen.

We Started our week with 4 investigators; and as of today we now have 10 investigators preparing for baptism! They are all amazing people and I simply LOVE them with all my heart. They are all wonderful children of God and are so prepared to receive the restored Gospel.

I feel so blessed and honored that Heavenly Father has trusted me, to bring his Gospel to his wonderful children.

Even though I do not feel like I am qualified to do so, and my knowledge of the Gospel is small; I know that as I have faith in my Savior he will qualify me for the work. Through his spirit I will know what to say and what to do. God is my strength; without him I am nothing. I am simply an instrument in the hands of God helping to bring his children back home to live with him. I love my Savior and I love this work. I feel so blessed to have been called by God to help him with his work; and to share the Gospel with the wonderful people of Palau.

I know that all the success Elder Climer and I are experiencing, is a direct blessing from our hard work and diligence. Missionary work is hard. But it is the hard that makes it great! By Fighting through the hard and continually trusting our Savior and Redeemer, I know blessings will come; for us, and for his children.

Okay onto something else…

So there are A LOT of stray dogs in Palau, like billions! You all know how much I love dogs, so it should be no surprise to you that I have pretty much adopted all of them!

Sadly, though I found that one of my favorite puppies died the other day. He was about 4 months old. He had contracted worms, and was not able to eat and sadly, starved to death. (I was so sad; he was so cute but I know he is in doggy heaven now!)

I almost lost my leg the other day because of a dog that did not want us knocking on a house! It kept trying to bite me. So finally, I just picked up a rock and threw at him… It hit him right in the chest and he ran off whimpering and crying. I showed him! Haha

We also had Zone Conference and Branch Conference this week. President Zarbock was here. I love him so much! I know he is meant to be my Mission President. He is so inspired and everything he talked about was exactly what I needed to hear to become an even better servant of the Lord.

We also had the opportunity to go with our Branch President this week to give a blessing to a tourist from San Francisco. He was here scuba diving and developed a skin infection. He wanted a blessing so he went to lds.org to see if the church was here, and to his surprise it was. He then called the Branch President and asked if he could receive a blessing. It was a super cool experience.

I just love being a missionary, it is truly great!

Love, Elder Rupp (Rengul a Ngalek)
