Alii!

Hey Everyone! Well this week has been quite crazy! We got back from mission leadership council Monday night. We officially have the new missionary schedule out here in the isles of the sea! It is awesome! I love all the extra time we get to serve each day and be out with the people!

So, after the upset two weeks ago, with “G”, “A” and “D”, we have been trying to find new investigators, and have been praying to be led to more prepared people. We know we would not be in this area now if there were not prepared people waiting for us to find them.

Our investigator “N” we feel is an answer to our prayers. We met “N” this week on “walking Wednesday”. She is thirty years old and has two adorable little kids. We talked to her a few times this week about families and the restored Gospel. A member, “E” invited her to church… and she came! We visited “N” after church and she said she loved it! She wants to come again next week. She asked us for a copy of the Book of Mormon, so cool! She is awesome.

We also saw “J” this week. he was supposed to be baptized on Saturday, but he postponed it because he smoked again. He is truly a special investigator. The thing that is mostly holding him back is his depression. He wants to be baptized, but then he doubts himself and tries to cover his doubts up by smoking and drinking.

I know how he feels. In high school I struggled with feelings of depression. and self-worthlessness. But the way I overcame it was not just one big event where I woke up one day and I was like BOOM I am cured. No, it came slowly over time. As I have begun to put my faith in God and live his Gospel, follow his commandments, and trust in his promise, that eternal happiness comes from the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It may be a long process, but I can testify to you that it works, and that true happiness is only found in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We are really trying to help “J” realize that as well. He is doing so good and he has already changed so much. I know with a little extra love he will be ready for his baptism this Saturday.

The Gospel is good. The work is good. Life is good! Nothing to complain about here…. Well okay, it is a little rainy today. But I do not mind that because, more people let us into their huts when we are soaking wet! Ha-ha

I am trying to continue to lose myself in the work, and in the language. I love it so much. I never want it to end. I HATE THE FUTURE! Ha-ha

The last missionary from our branch just came home this week. He is so cool! I want to be just like him when I return home (if I ever do) you can tell he was just an awesome missionary.

Brothers and Sisters, I want you all to know that I have a testimony of this Gospel. I know that this Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, is the only church with the fullness of the Gospel, the priesthood, and a Prophet of God.

Never be afraid to share this glorious message. Share it with everyone, everywhere, because you never know who is prepared to receive this wonderful message! I know that life can be difficult at times and the future may be uncertain; but I know that through following the Gospel plan laid out by Jesus Christ, we need not fear, for God will be with us, and he will take care of us no matter what.

I really love President Hinckley. I have been studying his book. He was always so optimistic, and he always believed things would work out. I know all things will work out for good, as long as we stay faithful.

You do not have to have a great day to have a great day.

I love you all! The church is true!
