Alii Everyone!
Things have finally slowed down and are back to normal. Sorry for all the quick emails these last few weeks. This should be a nice normal long one; so I hope you enjoy it!
Our big, long, zone leader, to do list, has finally come to an end. Elder Climer and I can now finally put our full focus back into the Lords work!
This month we have two less active part member families that are up for baptism on the 30th!
First up, the “M” Family consists of “S”, the Dad, his wife “J”, and their two sons. Missionaries have been teaching this family for a while. Through the missionaries teaching his family, “S” has come back to church, and has been reactivated. He is now preparing to baptize his wife and two sons on the 30th. I am so excited for them! They all have great testimonies and truly love the Gospel.
Next up, is “L” and her Family. “L” is amazing. We found her just by knocking on doors. At first she did not want us to come back; but then she read and prayed about the Book of Mormon. She was blessed to gain that amazing witness and testimony from the Holy Ghost that this church is true.
Her husband “M” is actually a member (but he is very less active). He says he wants to come back to church, but that he just does not feel ready yet. He is so nice, and he really does want to come back. We just have to keep him in our prayers!
“L” oldest son “J” who is nine should be baptized with her on the 30th. “L” has three younger children who she has been having some troubles with. She wants to bring them to church but she feels like they are too noisy and crazy.
I felt prompted to ask mom if she could maybe write “L” a letter about how raising children in the church has blessed her life, and our entire family’s lives. I am not sure why I had this prompting but I feel it would really help her. You can just mail the letter to me and I will get it to her.
I love both these families so much. There is nothing better in this world than watching people come unto Christ.
Okay crazy story that is going to freak mom out big time…
The other night we were parked by a store late at night, trying to figure out where to go next. We did not realize that our car was shining its lights into the eyes of some very drunk people. So, long story short. One of them finally got tired of our lights in his eyes and decided to do something about it. He came over to my side of the car, picked up a rock and then proceeded to attempt to get my door open… So that he could attempt to pummel me… haha. Luckily, the doors were all locked. So he was left just banging on the glass and yelling at us. Which he continued to do for about five minutes, until we drove away. It was pretty scary and funny. Haha!
Elder Bush and Elder Striplin will be coming to visit this weekend and I am so excited that the Belau tribe will be getting back together!
I hope you all have an amazing week.
Ak Betik a Renguk er kemiu!
Love,
Elder Rengul El Ngalek
