Alii everyone I love with all my heart!
So much happened this week and I am going to tell it all with pictures!
Saturday was my favorite kid’s Baptism! “L’s” son, “J”, was baptized on Saturday. “L” has moved her wedding / baptism to May, so that her husband can become reactivated. Pretty cool!
Plus, the baptism was in the Ocean! The Spirit was so strong that day. “J” has an amazing spirit about him and was just so excited to follow our Savior into the waters of baptism.
After service at “L’s” on Tuesday (we cut down Banana trees with machetes and planted taro) I took a shower on the beach in a Box!
I went on exchanges with Elder Call on Wednesday and we had a blast! We found an abandoned school and we got up to the roof and took this sweet picture! Elder Call is chill because he is a Cali boy too. THE CALI BOYS ARE REPRESENTING OUT HERE ON PALAU…
On Thursday, we had our District Meeting at the dock and it was beautiful. We ran into a member who just moved here from Australia. He is a YSA and is going to start teaching with us and helping strengthen our YSA members. We have really been needing someone to help out our YSA members, and this Kid was an answer to our prayers. Having our District Meeting at the dock was definitely inspired of our Heavenly Father!
Just a nice sunset we saw driving home from Babeldaob the other day…
So yesterday, after church Elder Striplin needed to change cars with us because his was running low on gas. So of course we traded cars, but when we got into Elder Striplin’s car we realized that when he said low on gas he actually meant EMPTY with a blinking “you better get some fuel quick” light!
Elder Climer and I decided to try and drive it with the hope that our faith would be enough to keep the car going until the end of the night! ….. well we made it to about 6pm. haha
Our car ran out of gas right at the foot of a Catholic church with a ton of people that were just coming out of Mass! haha
It was pretty funny we had to have one of the district leaders go and get us the gas from the church to fill our car! Haha
Elder Striplin’s Banana Cream pie is / was the BOMB! Palau bananas are TO DIE FOR they are like super small and super sweet!
I know that this church is true! I hope you all have a great week.
Love,
Elder Rupp
