Alii!

(Alii means hello if anyone was still wondering that… so HELLO!

Wow what a crazy week!

So, transfer news; everything will be staying the same except, Sister Fulcher will be returning home with honor, and Sister Temakei and Sister Kaleopa will be training. So, cool! I am excited to spend another 6 weeks in Airai. I really do love it here!

Our investigators are doing well “JM” has finally decided to be baptized! It will be this Saturday, and I am SOOOO excited! I have known “JM” for so long, and I am happy he has made the choice to join his family as a member of the church.  The countdown to the temple begins.

Other than that, we have been working hard to find new investigators and to Just be friends with everyone. I love the Palauan people!

A cool experience happened the other day…

We were out tracting, trying to get back in contact with this man who we had been teaching a few months ago, named “A”. We had texted him and asked if he was home.  He responded that he was in town. He then asked if we would like to meet him somewhere. So obviously, we jumped at the opportunity and asked him if he could meet us at the church to have a quick lesson. He agreed so we quickly head down to town to meet him.

On our way, down we were talking about how awesome it would be if we could have a member present for this lesson. When we pulled up to the church we saw “A’s” car and the “T” Family’s car. (“T” is a Returned Missionary from Canada) We parked our car and started talking about how cool it would be if we walked into the church and found “A” talking to “T”!

When we walked into the church we found “A” having a nice conversation with “T”! It was so cool!

“T” had been at the church checking his email when “A” arrived. We sat down with the two of them and had an awesome lesson. We invited “A” to be baptized and he accepted! The funniest part was that at the end of the lesson; when we were scheduling our next appointment with “A”, Elder Call and I pulled out our missionary planners and “T” PULLED ONE OUT TOO!  (I think “T” is still in missionary mode! He is the man!)

I hope you enjoyed this quick email. I love this work. It is good and so is God. I am thankful that I can serve these wonderful people every day. I know there are miracles to be found each day in each of our lives, but if we get to caught up with life we might miss them.

I hope we all take time now and again to take a step back and take time to count our blessings. I know this church is true!

I love you all,

Elder Rupp
