Alii, alii!

Well it was a bit of a rough week but our faith is strong and we are going to press forward.

Our week started out with us getting a text from “J” telling us that he really need help and that if we really cared, we would come meet him at the abandoned school in Airai. We went there and let’s just say it was not a very pretty sight. We tried to talk to him; but we ended up just leaving because we could not feel the spirit there. We told “J” we loved him and we would stop by another day.

Since then we have a had a few more meetings with “J”.  “T” has been helping him a great deal, and we finally got him back on track for his baptism this month. “J” was also able to get Sundays off from work so he can come to church every Sunday.

“JM” is doing great. He has committed himself to be baptized. He had his interview all went well. He was set to be baptized this past Saturday. unfortunately, his father “S”, who was going to baptize him, got sick on Saturday, so they asked to move the baptism to this weekend. So, stay in tuned for pictures of that next week! I have waited my whole mission for “JM’s” baptism… I guess I can wait a little longer.

“N” is also doing well. She knows all that we teach is true, and she loves coming to church and reading the Book of Mormon. She missed church yesterday because her uncle passed away, and she had to go to a customs meeting for his funeral; but she is coming next Sunday! She is also set for baptism this month!

I have been reading a lot from the book “Jesus the Christ” lately. It is such a good book and I am learning so much about the Savior! I love the Savior so much. I know he is my big brother. I know he loves me. and I know that he lives.

The new Sister Missionaries on Palau are awesome! They are diligent, hardworking, and have a desire to learn the language. It is crazy to think that when they finish their training, I will be on my last transfer…. But that is okay because I am never leaving! ak mo kiei er a belau el mo er a cherechar! A belau a kotek!

I love you all! Have a great week! The church is true!

Love,

Elder Rupp
