Alii! Everyone I love with all my heart.

Hey, so transfers came in…  Everything for me is going to stay the same! I am still in Airai as a Zone Leader with Elder Call. I feel very blessed to have another six weeks to serve the Lord in Airai.

I do not have a lot of time today to email, but I do have a few thoughts I wish to share.

We received some training a while back from Elder Choi about who we are. We talked a lot about how we can help our investigators see who they are, and realize their true potential.

This training made me think about who I am, and who I am becoming, and the things that I desire most in this life.

As of right now I am: An artist, superhero lover, dog lover, goof ball, wanna be scriptorian, servant, mosquito’s favorite food, door knocker, Palauan, missionary, disciple of Christ, A son of God.

While these things are good, I know that my Heavenly Father expects much more from me.

Because of this, and the fact that the only thing I want in this life, is to be the man God wants me to be, I have found myself many days this past week on my knees asking God… “What lack I yet? What do you want me to be?”

This is what I have received so far: I want to be submissive to the will of God in all things. I want to live my life in a way, that I will always be able to feel the promptings of the spirit, and be ready to help all those around me.

I want to study the Gospel every day for the rest of my eternal existence, so that I may obtain the knowledge that will help me bring my family, and all those that I love, back home to our Father in Heaven.

I want to return with honor from a full-time mission, and being able to look back and have no regrets.

I want to share the Gospel with everyone that I will ever meet.

I want to be worthy of a temple recommend every day of my life, and go to our Fathers house as often as possible.

I want to be a righteous and faithful husband, who treats my spouse with the utmost respect that she deserves, being the beautiful daughter of God that I know she will be, and be there to support her in all things she wants to do.

I want to be the Father that raises missionaries. The Father that sets an example for his kids and leads them down the path of righteousness.

I want to be better each day when I go to bed than I was when I got up that morning.

I want to magnify a calling, whatever it may be, and do all I can to strengthen the church wherever I am.

I want to always remember that I am a son of God and that he loves me and has a plan for me.

Well, as you can all see, I have a lot to work on. But, I am happy, and more than willing to do the work. Because I know it is what God wants for me and my life, and all I want in this life and for eternity is to do the will of God.

Dear friends and family, I know this church is true. This is the Lords kingdom. We are all engaged, (whether we are wearing a name tag or not), in the greatest work we could do.

God has a plan for all his children to make them happy. The only problem is that most of his children do not know that yet! So why don’t we get out there, open our mouths, and help our brothers and sisters know of all the blessings our Father is waiting to give them.

I love this church! It is true. “Shall we not go on in so great a cause?”

with love,

Elder Rupp
